BONNIE & CLYDE

At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America’s most renowned folk heroes and Texas law enforcement’s worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless and alluring, the Tony-nominated Bonnie & Clyde, from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & HydeCivil WarDracula) is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country.

CASTING AGES 14+ (with 2 roles for ages 10+: Young Bonnie & Young Clyde)

  • INITIAL AUDITIONS will be by Video only. Callbacks will be emailed as we receive videos. Earlier videos submitted will receive callback notices sooner.
  • VIDEO AUDITIONS Due Tuesday, February 3
  • CALLBACKS Wednesday, February 4 from 6:30-9pm
  • CAST MEETING: Wednesday, February 11 8:30-9:15pm
  • FIRST REHEARSAL: Wednesday, February 11 6:30-8:30pm
  • PERFORMANCES AT STUDIO 3: March 27-April 4 *possible extension April 12
  • This show may be DOUBLE CAST or will have UNDERSTUDIES.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: *SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Not all actors are called for all rehearsals. These are the possible days that rehearsals will be scheduled. Please plan to have rehearsal conflicts listed on your audition application.

  • Wednesdays, February 11 – March 18
  • Fridays, February 13 – March 20
  • Saturdays, February 14 – March 21
  • Tech Rehearsals March 23-26
  • Performances March 27, 28, 29, 30, April 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Let us know if you cannot perform on a Sunday

PARTICIPATION FEE: (Youth ages 18 and under, still in school): $300 and includes a cast shirt and cast photo. Scholarships are available. Application for scholarships are due on the date of your audition. Additional scholarships available to committee leads.  Adults age 18+ (high school grads) must pay a $150 deposit, which will be returned upon completion of strike and volunteer hours.

VOLUNTEER HOURS

Cast families will be required to complete 10 volunteer hours for the show, work 2 show shifts, and participate in strike as outlined in the Limelight guide above: What to Expect

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For your video audition, Please read for 1-2 characters in the audition sides provided. Sing any 30 seconds of a song from the show (or in a similar style as the show).

We will sing from the show for callbacks, and read sides. Familiarize yourself especially with key duet songs as we may teach parts of duets to see how certain pairs sound together.

For video auditions, you may film any 2 characters with someone reading the lines of the other characters in the scene.

FINDING NEMO JR

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

CASTING AGES 18 and under

  • AUDITIONS In Person Wednesday, February 11 from 6:30-8:30pm
  • VIDEO AUDITIONS Due Wednesday, February 11 at 9pm
  • CALLBACKS:  Friday, February 13 *not everyone will need to attend a callback. We will only be scheduling callbacks by appointment 4:30-6:30pm for specific roles, not all roles)
  • VIDEO CALLBACKS Due Friday, February 13 at 9pm
  • CAST MEETING Tuesday, February 17 at 6pm
  • FIRST REHEARSAL:  Wednesday, February 18
  • PERFORMANCES AT STUDIO 3: April 24-May 9
  • There will be Sunday performances for this show. Please indicate on your audition application if you cannot perform or rehearse on Sunday
  • This show will be DOUBLE CAST. If there are performance dates you cannot attend (for dance competitions, etc) please note that on your application.:

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: *SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Not all actors will be called for all rehearsals . JR Ensemble will rehearse ONE day a week until closer to showtime.

  • Let us know if you cannot perform on a Sunday
  • PARTICIPATION FEE:
  • $300 for actors 18 and under still in school (who are ALL IN and want to be in multiple parts of the show or leading/supporting roles) *includes a cast shirt
  • $200 for jr ensemble actors ages 4-7 cast in this role (only in limited parts of the show, limited rehearsal time)
  • Application for scholarships are due on the date of your audition. 

VOLUNTEER HOURS

The cast will be required to complete volunteer hours for the show, as outlined in the Limelight guide above: What to Expect.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Check out the materials at the MTI Audition Central Website.

Choose ANY 2 characters to read for at your audition (print these sides and bring with you)

Then prepare any 30-60 second song that showcases your voice. You may sing from the show OR any musical theatre or Disney song.

Come dressed to dance.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIDEO AUDITIONS

1. Fill out the audition application here.

2. You can record your video all together or edit it together.

3. Start by stating your name, age, and what what roles you will and will not accept, and any roles you are the most interested in. 

4. Then choose 1-2 characters and sing the songs for those characters with a karaoke track (no voices in the track)

5. For those same characters, read the script with a family member on screen with you so we can see how you interact with them. 

6. Put on your favorite song and dance for us for 30 seconds. We just want to see how you move. 

7. Upload your video to a google drive and set the sharing permissions to “view by anyone with the link” OR upload to youtube. Paste the link in the VIDEO Audition Form Here.

8. You’re all done! We’ll contact you if we need to see anything more.
