FROZEN KIDS – a 30 minute musical for ages 4-14

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER (play)

BIG FISH (Mesa Arts Center musical)

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER (PLAY VERSION)

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas!

This delightful show is adapted from the bestselling Young Adult book. The crowd-pleasing comedy features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and lots of laughs

Not everyone will be called for all rehearsal days listed. The ensemble will be divided into five main groups. Everyone will be cast in one OR two of these groups:

Advanced Dancers, Youth Ensemble, Teen Ensemble, Adult Ensemble, and Tap Ensemble

— so not every performer will appear in every number.

Each ensemble group will typically rehearse once per week on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, depending on cast availability. Cast members should plan for one weeknight rehearsal plus Fridays and Saturdays each week if cast in the show.

If you are cast in a leading role, expect to have rehearsals about 4 days per week.

Performers who choose to participate in only one ensemble will have a lighter weekly schedule, and may only rehearse once or twice per week.

We’ll finalize rehearsal assignments once we see conflicts at auditions, and we’ll do our best to accommodate everyone’s schedules! We hope to post an outline of which groups will be scheduled on which days
