Meet the Casts – Into The Woods

Rachel Buckwalter (Little Red) is thrilled to have the opportunity to play Little Red. She is a 12 year-old 7 th grader who started performing when she was five. Rachel has been in multiple Limelight shows. Some of her past favorite roles include Zazu (Lion King, Jr.)- Arizoni winner, Flotsam (The Little Mermaid)- Arizoni nominee, Young Cosette (Les Miserables: School Edition), Rowley Jefferson (Diary of a Wimpy Kid Jr.) and Gertrude McFuzz (Seussical Jr.). Rachel also enjoys horseback riding and art. She thanks everyone who has been a part of this production, especially Christian for this amazing opportunity!

Westley Caryl (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf) is a Junior at Desert Vista High School and is excited to be performing in Into the Woods. Previous roles include CLUE (Professor Plum),  Little Women (Laurie), The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), Chicago (Billy Flynn), Les Miserables (Marius), Mean Girls (Damian), The Drowsy Chaperone (Adolpho), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere).  Westley would like to thank Christian and Emma for their direction and mentorship as well as all his outstanding cast mates.

Brooklyn Catchpole (Rapunzel) is a junior at Casteel High School. Favorite past roles include Anastasia in Anastasia The Musical: Youth Edition at East Valley Children’s Theatre and Jenny Hill in Big Fish at Actors Youth Theatre. When not acting, you can find her in choir or ballet class. She would like to thank her voice teacher, acting teacher, dance teachers and mom for shaping her into the performer she is today. 

Aubrey Danko (Cinderella) is delighted to be in her first production at Limelight! She is currently studying Aerospace Engineering, Astronautics at ASU. She’s previously been seen in The Prom, Anastasia, and Fiddler on the Roof. She would like to thank her family and friends who’ve supported her as well as the cast and crew for creating such a great show!

Nathan Gingell (Mysterious Man/Narrator) is thrilled to be making his return to Limelight after recently completing his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Arizona State University. Nathan has performed two prior roles, including The Bishop in Les Misérables and Amos in Chicago. Nathan would like to thank his parents and brother Jordan for supporting him.

Eli Greenberg (Jack) is excited to be participating in one of his favorite musicals! He has recently worked with Chandler Youth Theatre in Willy Wonka (Grampa Joe), Finding Nemo (Bruce & Crush), Mean Girls (Glenn Coco), Matilda (Bruce), James and the Giant Peach (James) and in Frozen (Olaf). Past Limelight productions included Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Rowley) and Newsies (Davey). Most recently, Eli had the wonderful experience performing on the George Lopez Show, Lopez vs. Lopez on NBC, in a speaking guest role. In his free time, Eli loves spending time with friends and enjoys being a 6th grader at Hancock Elementary. He is also really into building Legos and brunching.

Hailey Halterman (Cinderella) is a senior at Highland High School and has been doing theater most of her life. Some of her recent shows include: Little Mermaid at Limelight (Andrina), Frozen at HHS (Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast at CGCC (Silly Girl), and Christmas Carol at CGCC (Ensemble). She is also heavily involved in her school’s choir program. She would like to thank the production team
for this wonderful opportunity!

Wardeh Rose Hanna (she/her) (The Witch/Stepmother) is beyond excited for her first show at Limelight! She is very grateful for the opportunity to play The Witch in the Midnight Cast! Previous favorite credits include Joanne (Company), Marmee (Little Women), and Sybil (The Cover of Life). As always, a big thanks to her family, friends, Mrs. Lallatin, and Amber. To her fellow Witch, as a wise queen once said, “You better work!” 

Kennedy Jorgensen (Jack’s Mother) is a senior at Perry High School and is excited to perform in her first theatrical production. As a lifelong musician, she is inspired by the instrumental and rhythmic complexities Sondheim often incorporates into his work. Kennedy would like to thank her music instructors and her best friend C.J. Morazan for never giving up on her.

Maeli Kemp (Florinda/Sleeping Beauty) is 13 years old and is a freshman in high school. She is excited to play Florinda, one of Cinderella’s Stepsisters. Her favorite roles have been Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Catherine Parr in Six, and Nala in The Lion King Jr. Maeli is so thankful for the support of her friends and family, and the training she has received from her teachers and directors.

Bella Klein (Rapunzel/Harp) is performing with Limelight for the first time and she is so excited to be playing Rapunzel! She is 19 and studying musical theatre performance at ASU. Some of her favorite roles have included Shelby (Steel Magnolias), Jean MacLaren (Brigadoon), and Mrs. Macafee (Bye Bye Birdie). She would like to thank her family for supporting her.

Andrew McGuire (Jack) has loved being a part of this cast and performing in this iconic Sondheim musical.  He’s currently in 8th Grade at Kyrene Middle School.  In his spare time he likes to… oh wait, he has no spare time.  Lol.  Recently, he’s starred in 13 The Musical (Evan Goldman), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian – Zoni Nom), Les Mis (Gavroche – Zoni Nom), and Seussical Jr (Wickersham 1), to name a few.  He’d like to thank Mama C and Emma for believing in him, and Mr Tom and Scott for making the music sound so great.  He’d also like to thank his family for their support. 

Savannah Mizell (Baker’s Wife) 28, is excited to return to the stage and make her Limelight debut in one of her dream roles! Some of her favorite past roles include Smitty (H2$), Gertrude McFuzz (Seussical), and The Cowardly Lion (The Wizard of Oz). Savannah would like to thank her husband, family, and friends for their love and support. She dedicates this performance to her late Grandmother Susan who loved Into the Woods. “No one leaves for good.”

CJ Morazan (Baker/Cinderella’s Father) is a senior in Chandler Online Academy and is excited to be performing in their first Limelight show. He has recently been in Sweeney Todd and Hadestown. C.J. would like to thank their sister Melissa for getting them into theatre and their best friend Kennedy Jørgensen for always supporting him.

Mellissa Morazan (The Witch) is an ASU junior pursuing a theatre B.A. and a music theatre minor. She is both excited and grateful to be a part of this production. Her recent credits include Hadestown, Sweeney Todd, and the staged reading of student-written “El Espíritu del Amor.” Melissa would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support.

Emily Novicki (Lucinda/Snow White) (Bio unavailable)

Mattie O’Hagan (Steward/US Princes) is a 17 year old senior at North High School and is so excited to be a part of this show. Mattie has been doing theater for many years now and some of their favorite roles include Leaf Coneybear in Spelling Bee (AYT), Orcus in She Kills Monsters (NHS), and Ensemble in Sweeney Todd (AYT). Mattie would like to thank all their friends for being so supportive and indulging in their shenanigans. 

Edward Oster (Cinderella’s Father) is 13 years old and is going into the eighth grade attending State 48. He has performed in several productions with Limelight. His favorite roles include Ugly (Honk JR!), Raymond (Miss Nelson is Missing – Arizoni Nominee), Ben (Descendants), Iago (Aladdin Jr), Young Simba (Lion King Jr), Ryan (High School Musical 2) and Jetsam (Little Mermaid). He enjoys singing, dancing, and acting and loves making people laugh!

Colin Quintana (Rapunzel’s Prince) is 15 and is attending Gilbert Classical Academy for his sophomore year. He is super excited to be playing Rapunzel’s Prince, Flynn Rider in Limelight’s production of in Into the Woods. This is definitely one of his favorite shows to do along with Les Miserables, Tuck Everlasting, 13 the Musical, and Newsies Jr. Many thanks to the amazing cast and crew for their talent and dedication and a special thanks to his loving family.

Emeline Seegmiller (Lucinda/Sleeping Beauty) is a senior studying Chemistry at Arizona State University. She has been previously seen in Anastasia (Ensemble) and The Prom (Ensemble). She wants to thank her friends and family for all of their love and support. Stay gold.

Allie Weid (Baker’s Wife) is in her junior year at Desert Ridge High School. She is so excited to bring the Baker’s Wife to life on the stage. Her favorite roles include Eponine in Les Mis, Karen Smith in Mean Girls and Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown.

Aaron Wildung (Rapunzel’s Prince) is excited to make his stage debut as Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods. This performance marks his first venture into musical theater, inspired by his son Chase, whose love for storytelling and the arts provided the motivation to audition. As a young teenager, Aaron honed his artistic talents as a musician in concert and symphony bands, and is now channeling that passion into this new and exciting role on stage.

Chase Wildung (Steward) is 13 and he has been going to Studio 3 performing arts with a focus on acting and musical theater. He has performed in Limelight’s productions of Freaky Friday (Wells & Pastor Bruno), The Lion King Jr (Timon in the jungle cast), High School Musical 2 (Ryan beach ball cast), Newsies Jr (Albert and Snyder), The Little Mermaid (Pilot/Ensemble), Seussical Jr. (Horton) and is beyond excited for his role as the Steward in the Midnight cast. 

Kaitlyn Woodward (Little Red) attends ASU and is majoring in Information Technology with a minor in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Cady (Mean Girls), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Nancy (Oliver Jr!), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), Scuttle (The Little Mermaid – NYA award), Bridget (Bring It On), and Anna of Cleeves (Six). She thanks her friends and family for their love and support.
